The RLWYC 2010 Sailing Program has something for everyone.
- The Learn to Sail Program offers sailing instruction for young & old. The program includes courses for beginners to budding racers and all courses are taught by CYA certified instructors. The Learn to Sail fleet offers a variety of opportunities to our sailors, it includes Prams, Optimist dinghies, Bytes, Lasers, 420’s and the Mega 30 keel boat. The program also includes a combination tennis/sailing session.
- The Race Team Program (Team Core) prepares sailors for the challenges and rewards of regatta competition, while promoting camaraderie and good sportsmanship. Students of all ages and advanced abilities are welcome to join Team Core. Team Core is ideal for students who have a keen interest in racing.
- Keelboat Kamping is back. Ready for some good old-fashioned lake fun? Ghost stories and S’mores around a campfire? Bring your sleeping bag and your swimsuit and set-off aboard the club’s keelboats on an overnight camping trip with instructors. Must be 10+ to participate. Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Contact the Sailing Office to book. Kamping date: July 16, $25.00 per child billed to member’s account
- The Club Races are for sailors young and old who want to test their skills in competition. The growing fleet of scows has brought new energy to this series in recent years and it has become an exciting forum for spirited competition and good hearted rivalries.
- The Mega 30 is available Thursday through Sunday for Sunset Cruises. Your private charter comes with a trained skipper, as well as a sumptuous picnic basket with hors d’oeuvres lovingly prepared by the club’s chefs. The Mega 30 can comfortably accommodate a party of 4 so bring your friends and be ready for a memorable evening. The evening cruises are available for $175 for a party of 4 and bookings can be made at the sailing office (807) 543-7245.
